Position Overview

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate EMT-B professionals who are ready to make a difference. In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care in both local and deployment scenarios, while working in a supportive and professional environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Basic Life Support (BLS) level patient care.

  • Administer first aid and emergency treatment as needed.

  • Provide outstanding patient care and customer service.

  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of required documentation.

  • Assist with retrieval and delivery of medical supplies and equipment.

  • Maintain vehicle readiness in line with J.E.T. Response standards.

  • Contribute to developing efficient operational processes and quality improvement initiatives.

 

Qualifications

  • Valid PA EMT-B (or higher) Certification.

  • Completion of NIMS 100, 200, 700, and 800.

  • HAZMAT Awareness Certification.

  • Bloodborne Pathogens Awareness Certification.

  • Ability to pass P.A.T.C.H, FBI, and Child Abuse clearances.

 

As an EMT at J.E.T. Response, you will demonstrate competence in emergency care using BLS equipment, adhering to both state and national standards. This includes the ability to:

  • Communicate effectively in English (verbally and in writing), both in person and through electronic communication.

  • Hear and interpret essential information from co-workers, patients, physicians, and dispatchers, as well as sounds common to emergency scenes.

  • Lift, carry, and balance up to 125 pounds (250 pounds with assistance) to a height of 33 inches, over a distance of 10 feet.

  • Read and comprehend written materials under stressful conditions.

  • Document patient information clearly and efficiently in written form.

  • Demonstrate manual dexterity and fine motor skills required for patient care.

  • Move through various physical environments (stooping, crawling, walking on uneven surfaces).

  • Meet vision standards necessary to operate a motor vehicle in the state.

  • Work effectively in various environmental conditions, including low light, extreme heat, cold, and moisture.

 

Compensation Starting at $23.00 per hour.

 

Work Schedule

  • 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts

  • Day shifts

  • Weekdays, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed

 

Required Licenses/Certifications

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • EMT Certification
